Every Girl Is The End Of The World For Me
Moar, moar #NanoNoodle! I started this on Sunday morning and rather liked the simple (naive?) melody. By Sunday night, I took a strange fancy into my head to throw a key change into the arrangement. Work-swamped, three days flew by without stopping to say hullo - by the time I got round to asking my dad (last night) how to make a smooth key transition (gosh), I’d kinda lost the thread....

Sometimes, I Wake Up Without You
New Nanolooping. This time, I’ve tried for an artier title. I don’t know if this naming habit will continue - it seems a bit earnest, doesn’t it? This was made once again on the iPhone version of Nanoloop, and I’m trying to just plug away at writing mini-tracks on there. Ode To The Thaw
This is my first full track using NanoLoop iPhone edition. I’ve been playing with it for about a year I think (could be less) but I’ve left it largely unused until recently because it’s taken me that long to come around to the FM sound - but I’ve been massively inspired lately by the musical explorations of Little-scale and his 1-hour EPs* and also C418 of Minecraft fame....
I wanted to noodle, but instead you get this.
Listen! I was pretty taken with the soundtrack to In Bruges (by Carter Burwell) tonight as I’ve been very exposed to it for a week now. So, strangely, I decided to see how I could recreate a very tiny portion of it and perhaps learn something about harmonies and orchestration in doing so. Now I’m off to bed.
