So, I was pretty close-lipped about turning my funny little #Nanonoodles into a micro-ep, because to be honest, I’m a little bit bashful about such highfalutin ideas, being much more prone to riff-raffery myself. But even I had to admit that after I’d made the first 2 tracks and was halfway through the third, there was already a sense of a “made thing” about the set. To my mind, the tracks also felt so infused with the snowed-in cabin fever spirit that dominated much of the UK in the run-up to Christmas that I should somehow label them as a wintery keepsake, or something.
So, as soon as the third track was made, I resolved to make one last track when I got the time, bundle the whole thing up with string and present it humbly to you, whoever you are, in the hopes you’ll enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed being snowed in with an excuse to make some music.
If the term micro-ep doesn’t tickle your fancy, then there’s probably no helping you, but if it all sounds a bit high-brow, don’t worry; just focus on the title - it should surely be the clue that I was not 100% serious about this concept myself.
Thanking you in advance for the lending of your ears x
