Had an inspiration to sample some stuff last night -first I thought “Louis Prima” but couldn’t get the hang of it (I’ve never sampled before like this, let alone using the audio editor in Ableton). And then I loaded up a more fluid jazz tune, and it fit together quite nicely. This is unlike anything I’ve ever made before, but I really enjoyed it, so I’ll revisit it tonight. The first draft is 6mins -mighty! And will eventually be two tracks joined at the hip. I was about to record an arrangement of the first tune (kinda breezy sounding) when I discovered this other sample and the result was more urgent, and tense.
